These foo dogs are playing with balls with tassels attached. Gold leaf over a Chinese red painted base. The back sides of their tales are Chinese red. The figures and base appear to be wood, and they have some good age to them, though the bases look newer than the foos. Please note the foos are permanently affixed to the bases. Each dog including base measures app. 5 7.8" tall, 3 5/8" wide and 2 3/8" deep. One tail has a few paint flecks, which help establish the age of the pieces. See last pic for details.
